Obviously you are very compassionate about having a child. but what if its a girl? would you be disappointed? and i ask in the a less offencive way that do you believe this child would is going to be born to have a purpose? i ask this because the career paths that you mentioned such as pro soccer player, firefighter are jobs that people admire you for doing... and it seem you want that admiration from an un born child - basically it seem you want a child with expectation that he/she will admire you.. Maybe you need someone to admire you now for your successes already. maybe you feel that a child will give you unconditional encouragement and admiration.
