Madrid – Real Madrid will get a heavy opponent in the first game of La Liga Primera. El Real was not worried because it was ready to compete with her new entrenador, Jose Mourinho.

In the first game of the Spanish league this season, must travel to the headquarters Madrid Real Mallorca. If you see the results of Mallorca who only lost three times and drew once at home last season, this game will not be easy for ‘The White’.

“We have to play against all teams and ready to challenge in the Spanish league after the country won the World Cup. We are ready to do it,” said Real Madrid General Director Jorge Valdano at the club’s official website.

Madrid this season will be coached by Mourinho who was recruited after leading Inter Milan won the treble last season. In the presence of former coach of FC Porto and Chelsea, confidence Madrid also increasingly expanding.

“Mourinho is very passionate about football and he showed it in practice. Full knowledge about football is very important, but able to channel the emotions are far more important.”

“Success in building his previous winning teams have demonstrated their capabilities,” said Valdano.

In Spain, the duel between Madrid, Barcelona contra always great attention. This season, the El Clasico first duel will be present at the end of November, followed by the second game in April.

“Clasico will be played at around the same period as last year. We hope to be in good condition when entering that period. We’re going to play in the Champions League and should have got enough momentum,” Valdano straightforward.

What do you think, can real madrid win this season..?

Soccer or Football as we all know is not only a game but a way of life in many countries and a culture in so many other nations. The game attracts millions of football fans and supporters world wide in any given match whether its been played live or telecast in England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Asia, Africa, Brazil, Argentina, to name a few. There are countless football teams, squads, clubs, tournaments, coaches and many other officials involved directly or indirectly
who keeps the game going and make sure its been played according to the laid down rules.

The game generates great income not only for the organizers but also to the stadium management and provides job opportunities for millions who are directly or indirectly involved in any particular football season. Soccer has also produced thousands of great heroes and superstarts and has made more millionaires than any sports you can think of. Conduct a survey today in schools and you will find out that all the boys wants to be Soccer players and most of the girls wants to get involved with girls soccer leagues not only to enjoy the fame and popularity associated with the game but also the wealth that comes with been a player. Hardly you find any community without a football club or teams with regular tournaments or leagues and everybody goes hey wild whenever their team wins or loses in any match.

To beautify and add more flavor to the game, the playing time need to be adjusted to 120 minutes full playing time instead of the current 90 minutes, ( 60 minutes each half ) plus injury time. Additional 30 minutes of plaing time would make the game more interesting and will attract more fans, supporters, sponsors, and many more. Fans and supporters of Soccer has been the life wire and intergral part of the game that kept it alive from generation to generation. Without the fans and supporters the game would not be interested and as popular as it is today.

The time has come for the footbal governning body to look back and compensate the Fans/supporters, give them more than they bargain for and take the beautiful game of Football/Soccer to a new level. The best opportunity is to utilize the upcoming World Cup in South Africa to inform football fans and supporters world wide the 30 minutes additional playing time to be implimented in all football games after the World Cup Soccer bonanza.

Playing Soccer/football one hour ( 60 mins ) for each half instead of the current 45 mins would be a thing of joy and excitement to millions of football fans world over and a moral boosting to the players in particular who for sure likes more playing time and the crowd pulling soccer teams like manchester united, liverpool, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, chelsea and arsenal in general whose supporters would love to watch the game for as long as it goes.

In addition, more 30 minutes playing time will make the game more competitive among the teams and allow more reserved players to take part in a particular game. check out the reserve bench in any match, many quality players warm the bench game after game and never get opportunity to play unless injury occures. The time adjustment would not only add more flavor to the game, generate more income to the body and stadium management but would also attract more fans and supporters and the almighty sponsors would love to place more advertisements.
More playing time adjustment is also very necessary to allow late comers to enjoy the game. sometimes people are stucked up in traffic and before they reach the stadium the game is almost over. Most times the queues to obtain football tickets are too long and people are stocked there for almost the duration of the game and they never enjoy fully the game they loved and paid for.

There are many games that are been played for long hours and believe me people due enjoy it most. When people pay to attend a soccer game or watch on Television, they like to be there, follow the game and enjoy it for as long as it takes and don’t care how long, the longer the game, the more happier fans and supporters become and that happiness will continue to linger in their mind till the next game, that’s more reason Soccer or football is No 1 game.

The world No 1 game should be given a new face lift and adding more 30 mins playing time would be a good news to all football/Soccer fans and supporters world wide, a bonus they would love to have after the upcoming world cup bonanza in South Africa.

So you think you’ve got what it takes to walk alongside the Mourinhos, Wengers and Fergusons in the new season? Don’t be just another Rafa Benitez this season, read this guide and win the league – it’s as simple as that. Follow this 10-step guide to winning your Fantasy Football League and separate yourself from all of the other ‘nearly-was’ managers of the past.

1. Buy Cristiano Ronaldo.
This doesn’t literally mean buy Cristiano Ronaldo and you will win the league (although this was true in the 07/08 season). There will be a Ronaldo for all seasons, you just need to work out who it will be when you buy your players. Every season in Fantasy Football a player will be bought by almost every, if not all, participating teams. This may seem the boring way of gaining points but it is also a great way of not losing ground on your opponents. You may think it’s brave to ignore the trend but it generally ends in sadness and floods of tears – you have been warned.

2. Read the rules.
Every Fantasy Football League is different and each has its own set of rules. Points are scored in a variety of ways across many different leagues and so make yourself aware of the rules you are playing by. If there are transfers, formations, substitutes or captains – you must use this to your best ability or risk losing out to your bitter rivals.

3. Avoid high-profile substitutes.
Don’t break the bank bringing in the latest big signing from one of the ‘Big Four’ if he is going to warm the bench for half the season. Often expensive players at the bigger clubs will score dramatically less than a first-team regular at one of the mid-table teams or even a relegation-battler. An example of this could be the signing of Chelsea’s Florent Malouda when Simon Davies at Fulham contributed a much greater points total.

4. Midfield goalscorers.
In my opinion these are even more valuable than the prolific centre forward scoring 20 goals a season. In many fantasy leagues, midfielders will receive more points for scoring than a forward so don’t miss out on these valuable assets. Take a gamble on penalty-takers and corner-takers that play in midfield and relax on your sun lounger as the points just keep on rolling in.

5. Take advantage of positional errors.
Players can often be categorised in the wrong position so don’t ignore these precious finds. An example would likely be a forward registered as a midfielder or midfielder named as a defender. As they play in a more advanced position than their category suggests, there will sometimes be the chance of more goals/assists being attributed to your player. This is not going to change the world, but the extra points that you can gain could mean the difference between 1st and 2nd, and no-one remembers the Fantasy Football runners-up.

6. Don’t let your heart rule your head.
If you are playing Fantasy Football it is likely that you will have some sort of allegiance or favouritism towards a certain team (this may also extend to a hatred of another team). In my championship winning success of 07/08, a close rival continuously refused to purchase Cristiano Ronaldo as he felt it betrayed his beloved Arsenal. Sadly, he relented somewhat belatedly and fell short in the title run-in. On the other side of the coin is the ‘loyal supporter’ that perseveres with signing players from their own team despite them festering at the bottom of the league. It doesn’t mean you don’t love them as much if you don’t want to buy a goalie that concedes four of five goals a game. It’s a serious business.

7. Don’t panic buy.
If there is a transfer or team selection deadline try not to jump in and make rash decisions losing you valuable points. Beware of mid-week fixtures such as European games or Internationals that could cause injuries to your key performers. Avoid making changes before the weekend if your players will be occupied with FA Cup games – check the fixtures for the ‘gameweek’ and adjust your team accordingly.

8. Plan ahead.
Many internet-based fantasy football leagues will offer the transfer system for teams to trade one player per week without a points deduction. Use this transfer wisely and you can benefit massively from such a small piece of forward-thinking. If you notice that Man Utd are playing bottom of the league next week, transfer in a player from Man Utd for the two weeks before to ensure you gain maximum potential from this fixture. I won my Fantasy Football League on the strength of one such transfer when i brought in Frank Lampard the week before a home game against Derby County – he went on to score four goals.

9. Remain focussed.
So you are top of the league with a few games to play – don’t take your foot off the gas. Titles are won and lost in the closing stages, so don’t let the title slip through your fingers by losing concentration at the last minute. Treat every game as a cup final and pay close attention to detail to maximise your points haul. You are nearly champions so don’t take your eye of the ball.

10. Beware the end of season circus.
This is the final stumbling block for the potential Fantasy Football champion. Every year there will be a series of shock team selections and ridiculous results to incense every football fan, bookmaker and fantasy football manager across the country. Don’t be surprised when Rafa Benitez drops Torres and Gerrard or when the Premier League’s whipping boys pull out a fantastic victory to beat relegation. At the end of the long, hard Premier League season you must learn to expect the unexpected.

So, good luck my fantasy football friends and listen to my advice… glory could be yours.

English Premier League was founded in 1992 and will complete its 17th seasons as, of the end of the 2008–09 seasons. Seasons run from August to May. All teams play 38 games each. The league held its first season in 1992–93. Initially there were 22 teams in the league, however it was the intention since the inception to cut that back to 20 and as of now that is how many there are. The first ever Premier League goal was scored by Brian Deane of Sheffield United in a 2–1 win against Manchester United. The English Premier League is without a doubt, the most lucrative football league in the world. The Premier League clubs are among the richest in the world. The Premier League is operated as a corporation and is owned by the 20 member clubs. The premier League is an English professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the English football league system, it is the country’s primary football competition. The English Premier League has become the world’s most watched sporting league. The English Premier League currently has some of the world’s most famous players and oldest clubs. According to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), the English Premier League is the top football league in the world for the second consecutive year.

Three of the final four teams in the Champions League semi-finals are from the EPL, and it has been like that the last 3 years. EPL is the strongest and most sought after club league in the world. The English top flight is a massive worldwide product that is ever increasingly difficult to quantify. 42 clubs have graced the top flight since the breakout of the Premier League of which only 11 of the 42 have managed a top 4 finish in 16 years. 4 clubs have won the title in the 16 seasons of competition. 15 of the 16 titles have been won by Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
When fans want to do some shopping to buy league apparel that represents their favorite soccer team, they know that all they have to do is find a soccer shop online that represents all of the various soccer leagues around the world and take their pick of the soccer merchandise in their online stores. The interest in soccer has spread around the globe, and some people show their interest in soccer by collecting memorabilia from every league, including those that are not current.

The Asian Football Confederation offers soccer jerseys for fans that support the Iran National Team, Japan National Team, Saudi Arabia National Team, and the South Korea National Team. Even though these countries are a considerable distance from the United States, it is possible to purchase jerseys through online retailers in the United States and own a historical piece of soccer history by countries that participate in the Asian Cup at very good prices too.

For memorabilia that stems from the soccer teams that pursue the African Nations Cup, collectors can buy T-shirts, flags and track jackets that are worn by soccer players on the Cameroon National Team. Some fans might have other interests and choose to select a replique soccer ball used by the Ghana National Team. There is an amazing assortment of soccer gear available from soccer teams that make up a league and savvy collector’s know what the hardest items are to find and know just where they can go to buy them. The Nigeria National Team might offer a Women’s World Cup grip bag that collector’s will find exceptionally valuable one day.

The T-shirt opportunities offered by the Senegal National Team might make interesting conversation pieces at the next victory party. There might even be fans at the party that own one or two pieces that some other collector needs to complete a set. The Tunisia National Team offers fans the unique opportunity to own a T-shirt emblazoned with the FIFA World Cup stencil in white on the front against a very dramatic red background of fabric. Finding an authentic t-shirt with some printing error on it could mean big bucks to a collector with an eye for detail. Fans can also buy all sorts of memorabilia that represents the Argentine League and sell that memorabilia at a later date for a nice profit.

Soccer jerseys are readily available at online soccer shops for such South American soccer teams as the Boca Juniors, Estudiantes de la Plata, River Plate, Newells Old Boys and the Club Athletico Huracan. South American culture is vividly displayed in creative ways through the construction of two-sided scarfs in rich colors of gold, or through knit woolie cap that will ensure everyone is in style at all soccer games.

The soccer mementos of the Brazillian First Division are highly sought after by soccer fans around the world. This soccer-playing nation is a force to be reckoned with any time there is a soccer championship at stake. Soccer fans want to own soccer jerseys that bear the emblems of the Brazillian teams that are part of this division which include Fluminense, Internacional, Palmeiras and Sao Paulo.

Team Osaka (Japan) vs. NimbRo (Univ. of Freiburg, Germany) The 2007 final was one of the best humanoid soccer games ever, if not the best. Team Osaka played with one goalie and one field player while NimbRo used two field players. The Osaka robots were very quick to approach the ball and to kick it across the field. The NimbRo robots excelled in one-on-one fights for the ball and also demonstrated nice team play. The exciting game was open until the end.
Regarded as the most popular and richest soccer league in the world, the English Premier League was established in 1992 after breaking away from the traditional Football League. Now in its sixteenth season, the Premier League is capable of attracting the best soccer players from around the world and its top teams compete regularly in the latter stages of Europe’s premier soccer tournament, the UEFA Champions League.

Origins of the Premier League: During the 1980s, the reputation of English soccer was at an all time low. Years of misbehavior from fans and a number of related tragedies, had subsequently led to English clubs getting banned from participating in European club competitions.

For this reason the top clubs were unable to sign the best players and they could not complete financially with the major teams in the other European leagues. Consequently, spectator attendances at many of the games began to decline rapidly.

However by 1990, many of these trends began to reverse. The English national team played a great tournament in that year’s World Cup, reaching the semi-finals and this encouraged a feeling of renewed interest in the game. UEFA removed its ban on English clubs participating in the Champions League and compulsory seating was introduced in all stadiums to alleviate the problems associated with violence amongst spectators.

In the midst of this renewed optimism, the top soccer clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United decided to break away from the existing league structure to capitalize on the influx of television money that was offered by new satellite broadcasters such as Sky TV.

In 1992 all top division clubs resigned from the football league and formed the Premier League. This was a unique structure that effectively created a limited company that was able to negotiate commercial revenue and share the benefits based upon performance.

Structure of the Premier League: The Premier League consists of twenty soccer clubs from all regions across England. They play a thirty-eight match season that begins in August each year and is concluded the following May. All teams compete home and away against the other teams twice.

At the completion of the season, the bottom three teams are demoted to the football league and replaced by the three best teams in that league the following season. The winners of the Premier League are declared the champions and are eligible to play in following season’s UEFA Champions League, along with the next top three teams.

Notable Clubs: The most successful club in the history of the Premier League is Manchester United. In the 2007/08 season they won the competition for a record tenth time. The only other teams to win the league are Arsenal, Chelsea and Blackburn.

The Future of the Premier League: By 2008 the top English clubs, through their ability to negotiate ever increasing commercial revenues have created a global sports brand that allows them to dominate European club soccer. In the last four seasons, an English team has reached the final of the Champions League.

However, the impact of this success at the top of the English soccer league is having a detrimental effect on the teams at the lower scale of the league system. Many teams are struggling to survive financially and there is much criticism and concern that the concentration of wealth and power in a small group of teams may have long term negative consequences for the future of the game.
